[Guide] Fantasy Farming

Post by Soluna »

As you know, in G9S2 Farming will be implemented in the update, so this is a generic guide on the new "Fantasy Farming" aspect of the game.

*Important Things to Note Before Starting*
1. The loan period is 7 real life days, upon harvesting the farm will be returned (Only 1 Harvest on the Farm Per Loan Period).
2. One account can only loan 1 farm, to maintain you farm you must use the character you loan the farm with (If you loan the farm with Character A, you can't maintain the farm with Character B even if A and B are both under the same account).
3. Every Channel have 90 farms total (630 total with 7 channels). If you loan the farm at Ch1 then you can only maintain it in on Ch1 and not on any other channel.
4. 1 real life day is equal to 10 actions you can perform on the farm and resets at 00:00 every day back up to be 10 actions again (No stacking allowed).
5. If there is no available farms for loan on the channel you are currently at, but there are farm(s) being harvested, you will receive a waiting list for the currently harvesting farm to sign up for.
6. Price to loan a farm is 30k.

Getting Started:
First thing first, loan a farm from the NPC Blatt for 30k. If there isn't an available farm at the time on the channel you are in, try change a channel to find one or sign up for a waiting list if there are farms being harvest at the time.

After purchasing the loan on the farm, don't forget to buy the seeds for the crops for farming! The seeds can also be purchased from the NPC Blatt. There is no point in buying more than 1 bag of seeds at a time because 1 farm can only grow 1 type of crops. There are a total of 5 crops: Tomatoes, Eggplants, Strawberry, Pumpkin, and Cabbage.

Talk to the NPC Blatt and select the option Find My Farm, and the mini map will mark a flag on your farm. Now you can head to the farm and start farming! To plant the seed on your farm, simply hit the post in front of your farm and select the type of seed you wish to plant. Upon hitting the post again, you will now see the Farm Information Window, where it lists the farm's status at the moment.

Maintaining Your Farm
The Farm Status Window Should List 4 Stats:

H2O: This can be increased by performing the Watering Action.
FERT: This can be increased by performing the Fertilize Action.
BUG: This can be increased by performing the Insect Control Action.
GROWTH: Upon reaching 75% in Growth, you can start harvesting. However, the higher the value, the more crops can be harvested.
*The H2O, FERT, and BUG stats will affect the growth of the crops. It is said that making all 3 stats above 90 will increase the growth rate speed of the crops.

Like previously said, you must perform actions to maintain the farm, because over a period of time, the H2O, FERT and BUG stats will start losing value (depending on the crop, some lose particular stats faster than others). There are a total of 3 Actions you can perform:

Watering: Require 20 Minutes Cool Down, H2O +5
Fertilize: Require 30 Minutes Cool Down, FERT +7
Insect Control: Require 40 Minute Cool Down, BUG +11

You have up to 10 actions per real life day to perform these 3 types of actions in any combination you wish. Example: 5 Watering, 2 Fertilize, 3 Insect Control. However, you don't need to use up all 10 if you don't think you need it. One thing to note is that the actions will not carry over (no stacking) to the next day if you have left over actions.

*Cool Down means after performing the action (Can find the 3 actions in action window), you need to wait that amount of time to perform the next option (The cool down is in real time). Example: I performed the Watering Action at 2:30PM, I won't be able to perform another action until 2:50PM.

From Harvest to Profit
After your crops have reach 75% or more, you can select the harvest option from the post in front of your farm. The harvesting will take 5 hours (real time). If you harvest the crops with 1 hour before the loan period is up, the system will automatically extend the harvesting periods (In this case extend the period by 4 hours), so there's no worry about not harvesting all the crops. You will receive in your mail the crops you grew (stack up to 100) and you can talk to Blatt and sell these crops for profit. If you didn't harvest (Growth below 74%) or forgot to harvest before the loan period is up, the system will send you 50% of the crops. You can choose to receive cash or check for the profit when you sell the crops, if you choose check however, there will be a 5% process fee and it will round to the nearest 10k (123567 will be 120000).

Deciding On the Crops
So understanding the general flow of the system, what crops should I grow? Well, it depends on how much time you want to take care of the farm and such, since certain crops require more time to work with, so here's some data regarding the crops:

Easy to Hard:
Tomatoes > Eggplant > Cabbage > Pumpkin > Strawberry

Standard Profit:
Tomatoes: Amount: 60, Single Sell Price: 4000, 240k
Eggplant: Amount: 70, Single Sell Price: 4000, Total Price: 280k
Cabbage: Amount: 80, Single Sell Price: 4000, Total Price: 320k
Pumpkin: Amount: 40, Single Sell Price: 9000, Total Price: 360k
Strawberry: Amount 140, Single Sell Price: 3000, Total Price: 420k

One thing to note from this is that this is standard data, you may not always harvest 60 Tomatoes even if you have the growth at 100% (Maybe slightly more, or slightly less). And the single sell price will not always remain to be the same! Depending on the amount of the crop on the market (that's to say, the other players who are also doing farming), the price of a crop may drop if there are more and more people start to grow strawberry (the more stock of one type of crop the lower its value it becomes). Now, some people may think I'll hold the crops until they become valuable then sell it! This idea works, to some extend but not fully. This is because you can only hold the crops for 2 days (real life) before the crops rot and expire! So really, there is no "Best" crop to grow, because the market's constant flow.

And that's pretty much the general guide on farming, I leave the rest of the fun for you guys to figure it out yourselves when you start your own farm after the update.

Seems the action are not implemented, you have to access the farming actions through the post in front of your farm for now.

Here's the Actions that will be implemented later
