To clarify, the Quality: Star in the item GUI does not refer to the fish being 5 Star, it refers to the Food Quality. The actual size is what determines a fish being a 5 Star or not (whether by manual or auto, although chances are auto fishes are generally smaller by a bit).

And Homestead Pond in Physis works, just caught this Sturgeon today at friend's homestead. 260 CM seems to be 2 Star (And yes, it was done with manual fishing at Rank 2), since my crit for the rod went from 9.2% to 9.5%.

For the bonus value, Max Damage is Star * 0.6 floor to the nearest single digit. Critical % is Star * 0.15 rounded up at first decimal digit.

Examples:
64 Stars---
64 * 0.6 = 38.4 = 38 Max
64 * 0.15 = 9.6 = 9.6 %

61 Stars---
61 * 0.6 = 36.6 = 36 Max
61 * 0.15 = 9.15 = 9.2 %

How do you know Sturgeons only come in Monday? What proof is that?

Is was, but not anymore. There was a patch made rare fish fishing easier.
Updated the fishing list a little, since I have gotten all 26 fishes now at 73 / 130 Stars.

Question: When fishing manually, do you get bigger fishes by keeping the risk bar at a minimum?

Or is it purely luck based, once you manage to catch the fish?
