Actually, this may be related to the removal of Pet Transfer Medal.

Both TW and JP had complains of people multi-clienting which resulted in every channels being full and legitimate player couldn't log in at all, at least... it was completely full on TW (I know because I was there and logged in 2hour early and was able to get the whistle). They ended up giving compensation (which is the whistle) to player who logged in an hour late due to the heavy traffic. And right after that event in TW, KR removed the medal next update.

So, most likely the pet reward is changed to prevent abuses. (But come on Nexon... <_< at least give a Credine...)
