Is there a CP limit to Taming Wild Animals?

Now that they have included specific animals you can tame for that rank and get prof in the skill, no. You can end up ranking it no matter what your CP is.

There is a CP limit to Taming Wild Animals, you cannot tame monsters over 5000 CP with very few exceptions.

Awwhh 5000 CP limit? That's dumb. I thought it was limitless, besides the untamable mobs...

Some exceptions include things like Incubus, but I don't know what the rule on that is.

Is there an actual confirmed patch note or line(s) of code that say this? It seems sort of odd that in-game there's no CP limit on the skill's description. I'm still a bit skeptical...

Taunt was CP-based for the longest time until a recent patch, and it never mentioned CP or anything like "harder enemies" in its description. If you dont believe it, you could always go and test it out yourself.
