Aura Project reopens

If viable, we will eventually build it on top of Aura, which will give us a, hopefully^^, stable server, that we only have to customize a little and connect to with a new client.
Well, this is rather surprising. Apparently, whoever cooked up the C&D for Aura before was confused by the difference between a server emulator and a private server game service. They thought Aura was hosting a private server.
As mentioned in the previous thread on the subject, the Aura project is fairly clean from a legal standpoint as it's built from scratch, without including any copyrighted material.
The guy even set up a Patreon page to get donations for the project. He's currently getting about $317/mo, with the hope that it'll eventually go up to the point where he could work on Aura as his full-time job, or even hire additional coders.
On a fun side-note, it looks like he's also aiming for a Tree of Savior server emulator:
Pretty strange considering the game hasn't even launched yet, but interesting nonetheless.
