[G18S2] Zero Update, Part A: System Changes

Stat Changes:
Strength-
Same damage formula 2.5 Str =->1 Max Dmg
New: 10 Str -> +1 Def

Intelligence-
New: 5 Int -> +1 Magic Atk
New: 20 Int -> +1 Magic Protection
*Separation of existing Protection and Magic Protection, existing protection no longer reduce magical dmg (Alchemy, Magic)

Dexterity-

New: Max Balance gained from Dex = 50%
New: 15 Dex -> +1 Def Pierce
*Defense Pierce is different Lance Pierce Effect, it simply ignore 1 Def of opponent stats.

Will-
3 Will -> 1 Max Knuckle Dmg
New: 10 Will -> +1 Magic Defense
*Separation of existing Defense and Magic Defense, existing Defense no longer reduce magical dmg (Alchemy, Magic)

Luck-

Same Critical hit bonus.
New: Now have chance to auto evade opponent range attacks similar to Evasion skill

Defense-
Only apply to melee damage now

Protection -
New Protection formula, only affects melee damages, higher protection, lower bonus achieved. (e.g. 8 pro = 14% dmg reduction 20 pro = 28% protection)
*Current protection damage reduction to % of damage received no longer apply. (This means 100% protection doesn't get hit 1s anymore, do your RP dungeons soon)

Magic Defense -

Similar to Defense but apply to magic damage only

Magic Protection -

Similar to Protection but apply to magic damage only

Balance -
New formula, will be similar to Protection idea, higher balance require more dex to increase.

Defense Pierce -
New stat, Similar to Lance's Defense Pierce effect but different. Formula is (Enemy Defense - Defense Pierce), max reduction to 0 enemy defense (as in it wont go to negatives). Certain mastery skill now adds Defense Pierce.
(i.e. Crossbow Mastery +18, and Axe Mastery +22)

New Magic Dmg Formula:
Base Skill Dmg + Magic Atk x Skill Bonus = Final Damage

New Skills:
Heavy Armor Mastery R1: +20 def, +10 pro, +10 Mag Def, +5 Mag Pro, Stun Resist +6%, Dex -35%(Human), Dex -50%(Elf), can equip 2 accessory
Light Armor Mastery R1: +10 def, + 5 pro, +8 Mag Def, +3 Mag Pro, can equip 2 accessory
Shield Mastery R1: + 30 def, +15 pro, +15 Mag Def, +5 Mag Pro, +8% Auto Defense Chance

Skills Changes:
*When equipped with Shield, Defense/Wind Guard Effect increase (All Race).
*Taunt/Sand burst no longer gets affected by Combat Power level.
*Mana Shield no longer account Def and Pro Stats, it is possible to be hit 1 without Mana Shield and MORE with Mana Shield on.
*Eclipse of Wing still account Def and Pro Stats, so it will reduce even more dmg after the update.
*Melee Passive Defense will reduce 50% dmg.
*Jennifer will no longer repair accessories at 98%. (Whelp Maido...)
*Transformation Mastery Monster adding Protection changed to Magic Protection (:U... Magic Resisting Shamans)
*Accessory Skill Related Reforges no longer stack with other other part reforges. (e.g. similar Battlefield Reforge effect on Accessory will not stack with reforge effect on Clothing)
*Staves can now cast Blaze and Fusion Bolts.
*Healing is not fixed heal amount, overall weaker than before. Party Heal strengthened.
*Lance Pierce Formula Changed: Level 9 Pierce -> -80 Def, -45 Pro. (Overall weaker than before on higher level monsters)

Alchemy Changes:
Damage Formula Change-
Barrier, Flameburst, Life Drain damage will be affected by HP
Shock, Water Cannon damage will be affected by Mana
Windblast, Frozenblast, Sandburst, Heat Buster will be affected by Stamina
*HP, Mana, Stamina affecting damage is determined by Remaining Value not Max Value (e.g. 30/100 HP, 30 being used not 100... with one exception, Life Drain works the other way 70 will be used instead of 30).

Alchemy Usage Change:
All alchemy skill will be using 4 elemental crystal to use (Except of Magic Golems, They will still be USABLE AFTER the updates.)
*Existing Crystal Making training to rank skills will be changed
*Existing Crystals can no longer be used, as compensation you can exchange them with Eabha to Gold. When exchanging you can pick which crystal to exchange and Eabha will tell you the total amount it can be exchanged into (in forms of gold), if you don't have enough space it WILL be dropped on the floor. Exchange in batches if you don't have enough spaces.

Prep time changes, cool down added to alchemy skills:
Summon Golem - 5 of each elemental crystal per use (Summoned type purely determined by Rank)
Sandburst - 0 sec prep time, 3 sec cool down, remove enemy aggro on player
Frozenblast - 1~3 sec prep time, 30 sec cool down, 2 Water 1 Wind Crystal per use
Life Drain - 1 Fire, 2 Wind, 1 Water, 1 Earth per use, 1 sec prep time, 16 sec cool down
Shock - 1 fire, 2 Wind per use, 1 sec prep time, animation changes
Windblast - Damage Increase, 7 sec cool down
Chain Cylinder - 100% activation rate, 10 sec cool down
Watercannon - prep time reduced to 1 sec
Barrier Spike - 5 Earth per use
*Cylinder Pressure will no longer reduce on it's own.
*New alchemy bag that can store cylinder and crystals, crystal stack change to 1000, size is 54 double the size of the old bag.

Blah =3= mostly old stuff with some minor notes change.

How devCat nerfed heal so it is range amount instead fixed amount?
How it has a lower constant than Party Heal?

The update is really poor, it will make Str the single most important stats. Having lots of Str will make the game "easy".
Mana Shield wise it is nerfed and you probably won't even turn it on much unless you have reforges. Because weaker monster you can tank you can bypass with def.
However your mana will deplete in seconds when you get hit by advanced monster and magics.
With high end def/pro you can get hit by Black Dragon Knight Ruairi with only 7x dmg when PD activates, get bite from spiders in sulfur realm restaurant area with 1 dmgs, that is how "TANK" the game will become.
Basically it will be an update that force you rank the new defensive skills.

The so called "Don't get hit" uniqueness of the game that people praised so much is utterly erased.

And yes, elves will complain.

Time to put those heavy armors on.

Does this apply to both monsters and players? What kind of passive defense? (Shield, hidden skill, etc?)
