[CH Event] Catch the Rainbow

During event period every character will receive a Fortune Box - Purple.

While logged in on the same channel for a certain amount of time, characters may get a Fortune Ticket (Random Timer). Fortune Ticket can be used to upgrade the Fortune Box to the next level, Purple -> Indigo -> Blue -> and so on.

The highest grade of the box is the Fortune Box - Rainbow after upgrading Fortune Box - Red.

You may open the box at anytime to receive the reward, the higher grade the better the reward.

However, there is risk in upgrading the box as it may fail and become a box with one lower grade e.g. Blue -> Red.

The higher the grade of the box, the more tickets needed to upgrade to level to the next level.

One Fortune Box - Rainbow contains 7 prizes and they are fixed reward:
1 Blue Upgrade Stone, 1 Red Upgrade Stone, 1 Ancient Magic Powder, 1 Fixed Dye, 1 Fixed Metal Dye, 1 10cm Diamond, and 1 Fine Grade Metal Toolkit.

Rest rewards in the reward boxes (in no particular tier): Nao costume kit, fox hat, upgrade stones, wing bow, phoenix fire wand, vintage dragon felix, falcata etc...

Aren't 10 cm diamonds programmed to give the max cap proficiency for all ego levels?

The vague formula Spirit EXP = Gem Size (CM) ^ 1.2 × (Growth Rate) × (Gem Rate)

Growth rate varies between ego type and stats, like the common knowledge of Bow egos have S rate dex growth (1.60) and so on.

Gem rate is depend on the type of gem and stats and the ego you are feeding to. Something like Ruby have will 80 luck 80 social 32 for female swords.

There are a total of 8 spirit weapons and a total of 9 gems. Excluding out diamond, every gem matches up each spirit weapon to make it even, meaning if Ruby give will 80 luck 80 social 32 for female swords then there's a equivalent gem will give that growth to the other egos. The only thing that is different is the growth, and if I remember correctly the only S rank growth are Bow's dex.

For diamond it's growth rate is 320 for all stats for all gems, making it fair for all gem to have the same bonuses from different gems.

Now if you plug into that formula the values:
10^1.2 x 1.6(using 1.6 as it is the highest value) x 320 = ~8114

And if we were to look at the spirit weapon exp level cap rate (May be outdated due to content changes):

At around Lv.31 you would no longer receive the max bonus per feed. And in reality it would be lower because it is using S rate growth as an example.

This is the reason why it was said the loli sword (female sword) is the hardest to raise because every feed item gives social so the ratio for the stats should be 5:1 ratio 5 stats vs 1 soc stat. That being said, if we were to add up all the growth rates(excluding soc), we would find that:

Female Wand 5.33

Clearly, the Female Sword's 4.60 doesn't met the 5:1 ratio, and therefore it is possible to not have all the stats reach the final level 50 (It can be done though, though careful feeding). But that doesn't matter anymore since there was a patch fixing the feeding issue after a level's been maxed.

So, diamond's benefit is that you can raise all the stats equally up to a point but it doesn't necessarily give the max cap exp at higher levels. However, in reality if there isn't a patch fixing the feeding issue, diamonds are not that great (for female swords anyway).

Funny how this event was introduced right after I posted it...

Anyways, clearly the rainbow box we have is slightly less awesome since it doesn't have the high grade metal toolkit. Aside from that, the rest of the prize should be the same.
Regarding the ticket being random or the 30min as suggested in event page. Is actually every 30min, but there's a system flaw with it, making it look like random.

So... how to get lots of tickets? Easy, the system will register your log in time when you first log on. Then proceed to log out to the character screen and then log in again (make sure to give a few minute in between). This way you will have 2 registered log in time, and you can repeat this however many you want, until you get d/c by the server or Nexon decide to fix it.

Good luck with the Box Upgrading though...

It seems the chance to upgrade is roughly 50%. Is there any more info on this?

Just merely guesses, but a logic guess would be that Violet -> Indigo is 100% (I mean come on...fail at lowest level?) and the rate would gradually decrease at higher rates probably to ~30~40% at the highest levels, but in the end it is just luck, more or less to that of S/R upgrades.
