B. Diva Character Creation
Creating a new character with the Diva talent awards the character certain skills and skill ranks. Depending on what type of character card you use, you may be awarded higher skill ranks and bonus AP to begin your fantasy life.
New characters made with either the card you start your account with, possibly elf and giant cards, and any other card other than Hero and Elite Hero may choose a hero talent for their first ever talent. Doing so will give you certain skills at novice on creation, and provide you additional quests. However, you must pay to maintain your talent or switch to a different hero talent upon first rebirth.

C. Clothing Set
- This is a clothing bag sold for a limited time in the cash shop.
- Using it rewards you the entire clothing set, it is not like a gachapon.
- This has nothing to do with Zero, Hero, or Elite Hero character card, and is irrelevant to any instruments or microphones.
- The bag takes 2x2 inv room and gender specific; and consumed on use.
- Opening the bag grants you a gender-locked outfit, boots, and it gives you a item coupon that gives you a gender and race locked earring. (Elf earring items are always separate models.)
Obtained by creating a new character in the Soul Star Talent with an Elite Hero Card. Its tradability status is currently unclear.
- This goes in the accessory equipment slot.
- Increases skill training to Singing, Phantasmal Chorus, and Encore in a manor similar to skill experience reforges.
The Diva update introduces 3 new skills for musicians to utilize. Of the new skills, two of them make use of the new singing ability in the update, while the third helps compliments the rest of the music skills. For examples of these new skills, we have provided examples in our Videos section of this post.
Singing allows the user to sing with a microphone, rather than using an instrument.
Singing works in a similar manner to Playing Instrument.
It comes with its own Music Buff Effect boost, which does not stack with Playing Instrument.
Upgrading and enchanting a microphone will boost singing as well.
Just like Playing Instrument, Singing does boost crop growth in homesteads. It is currently not clear what the specific bonuses are as the data is server side.
The player cannot move while using Singing.
Past rank 5, it is possible to use this skill without equipping a microphone. This also gives the ability to use music buff skills without wearing a microphone / instrument. This excludes Dischord, which cannot be used with a microphone either.
Unlike Playing Instrument, different Microphones do not alter the sound of the singing. However, the player's gender does.
- Choir is an action used in conjunction with Music Jam for the singing skill.
If a party member uses Choir, it is activated when the party leader uses Music Jam, and vice versa.
You cannot activate Phantasmal Chorus with Singing, Playing Instrument, Choir, or Party Jam. Note that, at the moment, there are no music buff skills in test due to a glitch, so we cannot activate Phantasmal at all, much less see if you can use it in a Jam or Choir. That being said, when it comes out, you'll probably just have to synchronize the jam/choir with the chorus.
Choir is obtained by completing the Music Jam quest, it is the exact same thing as Music Jam but performs normal singing instead of playing your instrument.
Composing now has a fourth, "Vocal", line. This line has the same character limit as the Melody line at all ranks except rank novice.
Unlike traditional instruments the new instruments and the voices have a very specific range. If you write a note out of its range it will simply "silent" the note since it cannot play. The ranges are the following:
That means if you play out of line of the assigned notes, it will simply be silent.
Now what does it means? Let's take the Female Phantom Chorus. It can only go from the first octave "g" to the fourth octave C... it means it will not play the fifth octave nor will it play things like lower than octave note G.
The easiest way for one to make a "quick fix" to songs is to add a o1 or o2 infront of their MML scroll such as below:
o1+76v15l8>b+bag4d4.a1b+bag4f#4gg4.gf#dc-d4e4
While that may make the song singable, a true writer will want to manipulate the octaves and notes in order to accommodate the change.
However, lowering it an octave will just make it sound softer or sharper, so song coded with sensitive octaves will need to be re-written carefully.
Phantasmal Chorus allows the user to sing while playing an instrument.
When used, a duration bar will appear under where your health bar should be. You must use a music buff skill during its duration to activate it.
Using Playing Instrument, Singing, Music Jam, or Choir will not activate it. Other players can see the duration bar.
A circle will appear on the ground when it has been successfully activated at the feet of the caster.
The circle buffs players within the circle as well as players who enter the circle.
Multiple circles from people in the same party will stack if the buffs are different. If the same buff is used, the most recent one is taken into effect.
The passive Music Buff Effect from Singing is used rather than Playing Instrument.
The buff/debuff circle does not disappear if the player stops performing.

Ode of Sighs
Battlefield Overture

Method to Obtain
Raise both Playing Instrument and Singing to Rank 5 and complete the Fantastic Voice quest.
I will talk about that performance in the castle (Tara or Emain? Doesn't specify)
As you might have expected, it's about the female singer that appeared.
Everybody calls her the Diva, but no one even knows if that is the name of the mysterious singer.
But according to the audiences, her singing skill is no mystery...
They say sometimes she sounds like a goddess, other times like a cry of the most hideous monster you can imagine, as if she is the collection of every sound in the world...
And also...
Well, this isn't confirmed yet, but many of the audiences of the performance apparently heard a different voice.
As in, the only one singing on the stage was the Diva, but there was another voice audible.
I checked multiple times again since so many were claiming to hear this non-existent voice, only to find out the only one on the stage was indeed the Diva.
This is kind of a shameless request, but would you like to confirm this?
To get more accurate information, you gotta ask the higher officials, but I'm just a homeless bard.
Step 2: Speak to Lezarro
Welcome to Tara, the capital of Aliech kingdom.
(I asked him about the Diva)
You're wondering about that too? It was the first kind of its style that I've heard.
It's definitely not the type of music usually played in the castle.
As I was getting into the music, I felt like regretful for some reason, and at that moment, I was hearing an unbelievable chorus.
I don't clearly remember what happened after. It was definitely great, and I think it has something to do with magic.
And why did you come looking for me anyways? I reckon Briana would know better about music.
Step 3: Speak to Briana
Hello? (I asked her about the music of Diva)
Oh, so you came to talk about that music? It was great!
Especially the thing that everybody claimed to hear. The chorus! It was so fascinating.
I actually didn't hear it at all. But when I was looking at the audiences, I could tell they were astounded.
Personally, I felt a little awkward that the audiences heard the chorus, but I guess there's a secret inside there.
Hope it helped.
Step 4: Speak to Arzhela
It was magnificent music. You could say it awakens your soul. (I told her what Briana told me)
Briana said that? How surprising. Awkwardness and fascination...
This just came into my mind, across the sea, in the desserts in Iria, apparently you can see hallucinations and voices.
Maybe you can find more information there?
Step 5: Speak to Atrata
Hello, my name is Atrata. (I asked her about the hallucination in the desert)
Ah... that. It's actually similar to magic that the nature makes.
Hm... now that I think about it, I think I told this to another person.
Unfortunately, I don't remember who that was. But I do remember that the person became disappointed like you and asked something else.
Then the person left for Courcle. I don't remember much else, but at least I remember the destination.
Step 6: Speak to Kousai
(I asked him about the person looking for the hallucination)
Hm... I don't even remember when that was.
Yes, there was a person who asked about stories about the hallucination and voices.
She had a great musical talent, but lacked something... it was that kind of woman.
And for me... I think I talked about the mind being unstable.
During the night, in the jungle where you can't see anything, seeing hallucinations and voices is caused by your mind shaking.
I mean, it's us humans that make up these non-existent evil spirits. Like the countless mistakes that we made...
Step 7: Speak to Nele
I see. A projection that you want to see and the unstable mind...
Speaking of which, Huw told me an interesting story.
He says that in some cases, it's easier to control a human's mind than a puppet's mind... now it makes some sense.
I think she... shocks people with beautiful music, then with some dissonances and stage,
She completes what the audiences want to hear.
Ultimate music that satisfies everyone... I guess you could approach it like she does. It's a surprising idea.
Hm... don't you think this could be used in a battle? In the middle of the battle, you use the excitement to make hallucinations and voices...
I don't know too much about combat so it won't be easy, but wouldn't <CharacterName> be able to do it?
When used, a cheering sound effect will play, and small firework effects will appear around the player.

Method to Obtain
Use the Playing Instrument skill at least once.
Encore Rank Information
Below is a table containing the bonuses gained and the effects per rank.
Master Title: Encore Master - Reduces the cooldown of the skill by 30 seconds.
For skill training requirements, refer to this page. This is accurate at the time of posting.

IV. Videos
With all the new sounds and visuals that are brought in with this update, we have provided a few video examples for everyone to enjoy. Here you will find videos of the new Diva skills and instruments![/SIZE]
What is the point of Encore? All of the current bard buff skills have short cooldowns, and the only way I could imagine it being useful is in resetting Phantasmal Chorus' 30 second cooldown.

One bard could essentially double buff at the same time with Phantasmal Chorus.

Right now, if one party member uses Vivace and another uses Battlefield, the more recent buff will cancel out the first. However, if both party members use those buffs with Phantasmal Chorus, it will not overwrite. In addition, two phantasmal choruses from the same person do not overwrite. So a solo player can pretty much get Vivace and Battlefield at the same time if he has an instrument, the phantasmal chorus skill, and the encore skill.
Also, if you use Vivace with Phantasmal, then a party member uses Battlefield by itself, Battlefield will overwrite all your current buffs. . .

Psy got it.
With Phantasmal Chorus, you can stack two buffs together, like Battlefield + Vivace.
In this case, using encore between two Phantom Chorus allows one bard to essentially combine buffs by themselves.
Phantasmal Chorus (Battlefield) - > Encore - > Phantasmal Chorus (Enduring Melody) = Battlefield + Enduring Melody with one bard.
Okay, the later Project Dream Update changed how they work so I'm going to explain before and after.
Before: Hero and Elite Hero are new character-only. Zero can be used to make a new character or rebirth one. Zero cards cost about 1k nx more than Basic cards.
After: Zero, Hero, and Elite Hero cards are new character-only. You can rebirth a character in a Hero talent via 39 pons.
