[G11S1] Cooking Dungeon

Post by Soluna »

A new form of dungeon introduced in G11 is the Cooking Dungeon.

Player can purchase the dungeon pass from the NPC Glewyas the Royal Cook. There are 9 Passes total at 1000 Gold a piece. Each pass represent a cooking recipe and require the player have the right cooking level to purchase and enter. That's right, you need to be at the correct cooking rank to be able to do the Cooking Dungeons (8 Dungeons from rF~8 and 1 for main stream that require no cooking level hence a total of 9). The passes are limited item like Edern's advanced weapon and Cliona's Shop Items, once it is purchased, you have to wait until 12:00am in Erinn to see it in stock again.

Like Shadow Mission, Cooking Dungeon have the same level restrictions, but 1 major difference is that you CANNOT pick the dungeon level and it is solo only (BWAHAHAHA cue evil laughs? Not really, Glewyas will help you out as well). After tossing the Cooking Pass to the Cooking Cauldron, you will be teleported to the dungeon. Different Dungeon require you to defeat different amount of Cooking Material Enemies (Eggs, Vegetables, etc.) within the Time Limit. You start by hitting the pole in the center, and then the floor will turn red. You must defeat the Cooking Material in the red zone to make it count towards the finish goal. To exit the dungeon, you hit the giant fork that is by the side of the cauldron. The cooking materials have very HIGH protection, player will have very hard time to do damage. However, there are a couple ways to solve this. First, you can let Glewyas hit the Cooking Materials First, which will lower their protection, or you can try an defeat the Silver Knifes and Utensils which will drop the Giant Utensils to allow you to do more damage. Finally, if Glewyas is defeated, you can pick up his Giant Utensil for use as well. Also, one must be wary of the rats that appear in the dungeon, if it is killed in the red portion of the cauldron, you will lose 15 points.

After you have killed enough materials, hit the giant fork to exit the dungeon. You will be graded based on your performance in the dungeon. Make sure no rat landed in to mix, You finish the dungeon on time, and that you kill the EXACT amount of Cooking Materials. You need a grade of 80 to pass the dungeon (sheesh...it should totally be 70...). The end chest will appear if your grade is passing, in it will be the dish you made through this dungeon. Take it to Glewyas and you can receive additional exp and gold rewards.

Additionally, You will receive Order Coupons if you receive a Grade of 65 or above. The amount you receive is based on your grade, and there are 3 type total determined by the rank of the dungeon.
rF~rD Cooking Dungeon: Order Coupon 1
rC~rA Cooking Dungeon: Order Coupon 2
r9~r8 Cooking Dungeon: Order Coupon 3

Order Coupon can be used to trade Giant Utensils (Can't be used in cooking dungeon to lower enemy protection*):
